Waxed jackets have the feature of being rain and waterproof against harsh winter conditions, through a technique of putting wax on cotton fabric. When used with the necessary intermediary layers (undergarments, wool layers etc) in cold weather, it grants complete comfort and protection against the outside conditions.
However, external conditions result in the wax on the outer layer of the jacket to reduce over time.  As such, it is necessary to carry out maintenance on it, in other words have it rewaxed before each winter.  These procedures and winter conditions can result in the jacket becoming worn. As time passes small holes, unstitching and rips may bother you. However, it is possible to overcome these.
Rips and tears in your jackets can be overcome with certain techniques by our expert tailors. When necessary, small or large patching can be carried out, without effecting the aesthetics of the jacket. For this reason, the price differs depending on the size of the work to be carried out.
Informing you of whether repairs can be carried out or not, the price of the work if it can be carried out, and approval from yourselves before any work is carried out, can only be done once our tailor has seen the jacket itself.  As such, it is only possible for you to get information on repairs to your jacket by bringing it to our stores yourself. Soylu Store works under the umbrella of Türkan Tekstil which is the distributor for Turkey for Barbour and Barbour International.
 
Türkan Tekstil are the only company who provide a service repairing and rewaxing for the Barbour and Barbour International brand. The Barbour and Barbour International jackets are rewaxed using 6oz and 4oz Sylkoil, which is produced especially for them.
